Gabriel Dubreuil
Gabriel is a violinist, composer, and educator. A Celtic Ensemble alumnus and Berklee College of Music graduate, he has served as the Ensemble’s Executive & Artistic Director since 2020. He leads youth and adult programs, founded the Vancouver chapter of the West Coast Youth Fiddle Summit, and has directed ensemble tours to Spain and Scandinavia, including Finland’s Kaustinen Folk Music Festival. His teaching draws on Celtic and Canadian fiddle traditions, jazz, and improvisation. Alongside his work with the Ensemble, Gabriel leads Collage Trad, performs with Early Spirit, and has worked with artists including Burna Boy and X Ambassadors.

Serena Eades
Serena is our Instructor of Junior & Senior Programs with the Celtic Ensemble. Serena has been teaching music for 26 years and believes in the power of an educator to inspire and guide budding musicians towards excellence and fulfillment through music. Her unique style reflects a lifetime of studying western classical music and various folk idioms. With a B.Mus’ from the Berklee College of Music and Brandon University, in addition to many years in the music industry Serena is at home as a performer, recording artist and educator. She is known as a member of Delhi 2 Dublin and has performed with many artists around the world, composed, orchestrated and recorded for film and TV.

Danielle Leonard
Danielle is our Director of Novice Programs, teaching both our Strings N Things and Fiddlesticks programs. Danielle has worked as music educator for over 10 years and her educational pedigree comes in the form of a B.A. in Music and French Studies from Queen’s University, as well as a B.Ed. from the University of British Columbia. She is currently studying for a Master's in Education from the University of Ottawa. Danielle is an experienced performer in various Celtic and Canadian styles and tours across both Canada and the United States. Furthermore, she works with a variety of groups and artists both in the studio and on the road. She owns a violin rental company called Emberling Strings!

Anna Brew
Anna is our wonderful Operations Coordinator who keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes so that our instructors can focus on what they do best - teaching! She is a keen flautist and bassoonist, but has spent much of her creative and administrative career working in theatre around the UK and Vancouver. Anna is incredibly passionate about youth inclusion in the arts and is excited to foster and nurture young people's passion for ceilidh and celtic music through collaboration and experience. Anna holds a 2.1 BA in English and Music from Newcastle University.

Leanne Rockliff
Leanne is our incredible bookkeeper and a local artist. She creates using acrylic paint or found materials. Her source of inspiration is both the travel she has done and the local urban environment in which she lives.
Though a career in finance might not be the traditional path to artistry, it has led her to the creative space she now finds herself in.
Her primary work is cityscapes and capturing the urban environment in a vibrant and idealized way. Its as though she’s come back to something from her childhood, as she used to sketch housing plans when she was young. She has previously done quite a bit of mixed media pieces as well, exploring her personal relationship with memory through energetic and bold mark making and forms. Each piece showed tension to be felt with a foremost feeling of resolution felt in the end. Strong, bold lines and shapes and supersaturated colour are techniques used. Leanne’s aim is to capture fleeting moments in time that for someone, somewhere, sparks something magical.
