  • Gabriel Dubreuil

    Gabriel is a violinist, composer, and arts leader based in British Columbia. A Berklee College of Music graduate, he studied with Matt Glaser, Darol Anger, and Jason Anick. His dynamic playing blends Celtic, jazz, folk, and world traditions. Gabriel has toured internationally with Early Spirit, founded Collage Trad—a high energy west coast fiddle band—and appeared as a session musician with artists including Burna Boy and X Ambassadors. Since 2020, he has served as Executive & Artistic Director of the Celtic Ensemble, fostering youth music education, community connection, and leading the ensemble toward an international tour in 2026!

  • Serena Eades

    Serena is our Instructor of Junior & Senior Programs with the Celtic Ensemble. Serena has been teaching music for 26 years and believes in the power of an educator to inspire and guide budding musicians towards excellence and fulfillment through music. Her unique style reflects a lifetime of studying western classical music and various folk idioms. With a B.Mus’ from the Berklee College of Music and Brandon University, in addition to many years in the music industry Serena is at home as a performer, recording artist and educator. She is known as a member of Delhi 2 Dublin and has performed with many artists around the world, composed, orchestrated and recorded for film and TV.

  • Danielle Leonard

    Danielle is our Director of Novice Programs, teaching both our Strings N Things and Fiddlesticks programs. Danielle has worked as music educator for over 10 years and her educational pedigree comes in the form of a B.A. in Music and French Studies from Queen’s University, as well as a B.Ed. from the University of British Columbia. She is currently studying for a Master's in Education from the University of Ottawa. Danielle is an experienced performer in various Celtic and Canadian styles and tours across both Canada and the United States. Furthermore, she works with a variety of groups and artists both in the studio and on the road. She owns a violin rental company called Emberling Strings! 

  • Anna Brew

    Anna is our wonderful Operations Coordinator who keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes so that our instructors can focus on what they do best - teaching! She is a keen flautist and bassoonist, but has spent much of her creative and administrative career working in theatre around the UK and Vancouver. Anna is incredibly passionate about youth inclusion in the arts and is excited to foster and nurture young people's passion for ceilidh and celtic music through collaboration and experience. Anna holds a 2.1 BA in English and Music from Newcastle University.

  • Rowan Richardson

    Rowan is a fiddle and mandolin player for the Celtic Ensemble. He has been playing with the ensemble for three years now and is excited to help foster the next generation of fiddle players! He has been playing for over 11 years and counting. Rowan arrives with passion and dedication to encourage more young fiddlers to take up the instrument!
