The West Coast Youth Fiddle Summit (WCYFS) is an annual event that brings together youth string ensembles with highly skilled teachers for a weekend of musical growth, community building, and spectacular performances. The WCYFS will be returning to Vancouver in 2026—this time hosted by the Celtic Ensemble at the beautiful University of British Columbia (UBC)!
The WCYFS began in 2018 with just four ensembles and has since grown into an annual gathering of over 110 young musicians from across the West and North. It’s a unique chance for youth ensembles to collaborate, perform, and build friendships through a shared love of fiddle music. Learn more about the WCYFS in our Q/A sheet and on our official website www.westcoastyouthfiddlesummit.ca

As we plan for this next edition, we’re expanding our invitation list to include more fiddle groups from across the country. While we’re not looking for firm commitments just yet, we’d love to hear from anyone interested in joining us so we can get a sense of numbers for planning purposes (especially for accommodations and pricing).
